I volunteered up at my son’s school today — and I worked with some of the other volunteer mothers. They were all pretencious bitches with their quadruple shot latte’s, cell phones set to the latest Justin Timberlake single, and too much eye makeup. They are also a good ten years younger than myself — and I don’t club anymore, while they still do.
This is going to be a looong school year.
Remember, it’s all about the kids. And the teachers, I quickly learned when I put in a honest and good effort to make the classroom’s atmosphere better and the teacher’s load lighter, that was all the praise I needed. Oh, that and being a lot of the kids’ “favorite!” Loved those hugs and praises.
HAHA! I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I tried to keep it to myself but now that you’ve said it outloud!
A helping hand is always more appreciated than posturing.
I’m still reading you. I’m just not commenting. Geesh – are you people discussing this issue about my not commenting enough because I got the same thing from Jenn. I just don’t wanna unless I wanna! Or like now, in defense of my lack of commenting.
I have no experience with this, as you know. But I do know a few posturing biotches, and Y’s advice sounds excellent. Clubbing mothers? Hehehe. That sounds much more fun then clubbing baby seals.
Moowahahaha!
